The CLiMET 90 (CI-90) is a microbial air sampler manufactured by Climet Instruments. This device is used to capture biological active particles such as fungi and bacteria onto a petri dish loaded with nutrient agar. The sample can be incubated to grow the captured microbes, and the colonies formed after incubation are counted to determine the concentration of CFUs (colony forming units) present in the air sample. The unit is in very good condition, functions as intended, and has minimal cosmetic damage. It has a flow rate of 99 liters per minute and features electronic automatic closed-loop flow rate control. The replaceable 9.6 volts, 7.6 amp hour Nickel Metal Hydride battery allows for 7.5 to 9 hours of continuous operation and takes 4.0 to 4.5 hours to charge. The CLiMET 90 (CI-90) is commonly used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospitals, cleanrooms, and microbiology laboratories to monitor the air quality, especially in sterile manufacturing environments. The equipment is also utilized in environmental monitoring and research facilities. With its precise microbial air sampling capabilities, it is a valuable asset in maintaining clean air quality in controlled environments.
