Description:
The Covaris S220x is a powerful, precise focused ultrasonicator designed for controlled comminution of DNA, RNA and chromatin as well as cell breakdown and particle size reduction in biological and pharmaceutical samples. With the Adaptive Focused AcousticsTM (AFA) technology, the instrument delivers reproducible results with minimal sample heating.
The high power version of the S220x offers higher energy inputs and shorter process times - ideal for demanding applications such as NGS sample preparation, metagenomics, protein extraction or lipid release.
The system is complemented by the Covaris CryoCube chiller, which ensures precise temperature control throughout the sonification process and protects thermally sensitive samples.
